January 9-11, 2019 (3 days) – PRICE : $590
The focal point of this tour is a visit to the Richard Nixon Presidential Library in Yorba Linda, California. At the library we will have small group docent led tours of the museum highlighting Nixon’s challenged political career both highs and lows during a turbulent period in our nation’s history. In addition to the Nixon Library, on this trip we will also visit General George Patton’s Memorial Museum which offers a variety of tanks and military vehicles to view as well as many WWII exhibits honoring the service and sacrifice of our nations veterans. We will stay each night in Palm Springs at the beautiful Palm Mountain Resort in downtown Palm Springs. There will be plenty of time to take in the famous Street Fair on the boulevard Thursday evening and possibly enjoy one of the many sidewalk café’s along the boardwalk. On Friday we’ll have a private guide show us the highlights and history of Palm Springs and the surrounding area. We will enjoy a late lunch on our way back home to Lake Havasu.
